I have been re-reading a book on worship called "Facedown." It is written by Matt Redman, who has written some of the most well known and loved worship songs of past decade or so. He knows a thing or two about worship and leading worship.

If you haven't got this book I would recommend getting it! You can get it on Amazon.com for varying prices, or if you would prefer to use Amazon.co.uk, you can click here.

So I will be sharing some thoughts from each chapter in this book. From the "Otherness of God" to "Mysteries so Bright;" "Wroship with a Price" to "The Song of Creation." Each chapter holds a host of insight for us to learn more about what worship is all about and it starts by exploring the posture of Facedown worship.

Facedown

"When we face up to the glory of God, we soon find ourselves Facedown in worship"

What other response can there be? The ultimate outward sign of humility is bowing as low as you can before the one who is greater than you. It's a sign of inner reverence. After even just a simple glimpse or realisation of the depth and breadth of all God has done, that alone should be enough to cause us to fall down at His feet.

As Matt says in his book: "Facedown worship iis the overflow of a heart humbled and amazed by the glory of God"
